When someone looks into your eyes they should see something alive within you.Having a dream is like owning a lighthouse1 which directs you on your journey.
At every turn we e across its mystery.At each new level we bee more of the person we were meant to bee.In lonely times,when we pass through a storm of disappointment,we find our faith is unshaken,our strength still strong.
Believe in your faith.Set the vision before your eyes.Write down your most sincere dreams and when the opportunity es,step into your dream.It may take one season or more,but the result is the same.Make big dreams and then go out and make them realities.The highest hopes of the dreamer are revealed with every step taken in their journey to the impossible.For a season we must protect the dream so that it can grow quietly on the inside.But if we tenderly care for our deepest expectations,slowly but surely the dream will bee new life.
Dreaming is an act of faith.The light of your expectations will cast off the shadows of a disbelieving world.God has given us the dreamer as a gift to light an unbelieving world.
Find your treasure within and cherish2 it.Tomorrow is waiting for you to take the first step.
People often wonder why historians go to so much trouble to preserve millions of books,documents and records.
Why do we have libraries?What good are these documents and history books?Why do we record and save the actions of men,the negotiations1 of government officials and the events during wars?
We do it because,sometimes,the voice of experience can cause us to stop,look and listen.Sometimes,past records,when understood in the right way,can help us decide what to do and what not to do.If we are ever to create lasting peace,we must seek its origins in human experience and in the records of human history.
From the stories of courage and devotion of men and women,we create the inspirations of youth.History records the suffering,the self-denial2,the devotion,and the heroic deeds of people in the past.These records can help us when we are confused and when we really need peace.
The main purpose of history is to create a better world.History gives a warning to those who promote war,and inspiration to those who seek peace.
In short,history helps us learn.Yesterday’s records can keep us from repeating yesterday’s mistakes.And from the pieces of mosaic4 assembled5 by historians e the great murals6 which represent the progress of mankind.
Today is an excellent day for small improvements.Whatever is working for you,find a way to improve it just a little.There’s no need to make a huge change,just a small one,something you can do right now.
If you called just one additional customer each day,over the course of the next month you would talk to about 20 new people.If you learned just one more new word each day,in the next year you would increase your vocabulary by more than 300 words.
Small improvements can add up over time into big acplishments.Look around you.Consider the work you do each day.Think about how you could do it just a little bit better.
In a marathon race,each step the winner takes is just a little bit longer and a little bit faster than each stride taken by the 100th place finisher.Yet over the course of the race,that small difference adds up in a big way.
Do just a little bit more today,and tomorrow too,and each day after that.Anyone can make just a small improvement,and that can make a big,big difference.

Even when the road gets rough,you can keep going.A disappointing result will stop you only if you assume that it is supposed to stop you.However,you can just assume that all your results are encouraging you to keep going.After all,when you’re getting results of any kind,you’re making a difference.
If the results are not the ones you like,you can make small changes to your efforts and greatly improve the results.Many things are simply not going to happen with just one attempt,three or even a dozen attempts.Yet any thing bees possible with enough persistence.Keep going,and allow your efforts to build on one another.Keep going,and turn your disappointments into achievements.You have what it takes to keep going,because all it ever takes is just one more step forward.Keep going,and work your way steadily to the richest rewards you can imagine.

When I was a young boy in Santa Cruz,California I used to help my Grandfather in the fields by his home.This was not his land but back in those days it was not unusual to barter with the neighbours to worked it for them so he could grow the vegetables that he loved.He would then share them with the neighbour for payment.He grew corn,beans,peas,zucchini,cucumbers and garlic.And nobody could grow bigger dahlias than my Grandfather.
As I worked along side him he used to love to tell this story of a named Giuseppe (Joe) and his wife who moved to a new farm with their three sons.They were settling into the new munity when a nearby farmer told Joe that there was gold in the dirt of his new property.Joe took that statement as that there was actual gold in the land.He thought to himself,"I have three healthy sons,I will tell them about it".Indeed he told his sons that there was gold to be found in their new property.Needless to say his sons actually took charge of their personal enterprise right on their own land.They had visions of what they would do when they found gold.Each son had a different vision.For as young as they were,they set up quite a professional approach in the digging for gold.
They began in one corner with a certain width and kept going until they got to the end.Once they got to the property line they would start another swath and go back the other direction.They began to realize that digging for gold was fun!This procedure went on for about six months and they still weren through going through the whole property.
Meanwhile Joe thought he would plant some crops in the area where the dirt had been turned thoroughly.He planted corn,tomatoes,potatoesand onions.His sons continued to dig through the soil,determined to find gold.As more dirt was available.Joe planted more crops.An interesting point here is that Joe had never farmed before but it had always been a dream of his to do so.
As each different crop became ready to be harvested Joe started to realize that there was more than he and his family could ever eat.One of Joes neighbours suggested that he set Up a vegetable stand.Joe and his wife did that very thing.They called it Joe and Family Vegetables.Joe even had to leave some crops on the ground because he had more than enough to meet the demands at the vegetable stand.
What were Joes sons doing in the meantime?They were still working the land even after they had finished the entire parcel.They started once again in the original corner.working in the leftover plant material while they were still on their quest to find gold.
This process went on for years and Joe and his wife became quite wealthy from their little vegetable stand.They were even able to send their sons off to college simply because they wanted to find gold.
Remember at the beginning of the story when Joe was told by his new neighbour that there was gold in the land?Well,the truth is.Joes understanding of the English language was less than perfect.His new neighbour friend actually told him that his land had rich soil.So you can see where the concept of gold came In.
Did Joes sons bee slaves to the digging?No,they were inspired because they had visions of what money could do for them and did not focus on the money itself.
Is there.a way we can take this story to a higher level?Yes.the Universe provides us opportunity and sometimes dangles the carrot to inspire us.In essence.Joes sons were inspired with the possibility of finding gold in the soil.Some of you Im sure will draw your own meaning.but here is one to consider.Go out and pretend that there is gold in all your challenges and setbacks so that you can be inspired to motivate yourself to allow the Universe to provide all that you need and then some.
Some people go through life standing at the excuse counter.
They say they’d like to do this or that,but then they offer all the excuses in the world for why they can’t do whatever it is.No matter what the excuses are,the only thing that is usually limiting them is their own self-perception.
If I’ve learned anything,I’ve learned that a person —any person —may do anything they set their mind on doing.The things you need are willingness to work for what you want,patience to learn what you need to know and,most important of all,belief in yourself.You only need a seed,and then your faith in yourself will grow with you as you move forward.
If your self-perception is that you can’t acplish something because you’re not smart enough,then take the time to learn what you need to know,and then your self-perception will change.
If your self-perception is that you can’t acplish something because you never finish anything you start,then go and finish something and change your self- perception.
If your self-perception is that you’re too lazy,too busy,too unworthy,too unfocused,too depressed,or too dependent on others to acplish great things,then you’re right.You are that because you believe you are,but in fact,you can change that!Life is change,and the past doesn’t equal the future.Your reality today is the result of your past beliefs and actions.Change your beliefs and actions,and you will change your future.Whether you think you can or you can’t,you’re right.You are what you think.
Think about that the next time you need an excuse.
We are living in one of those periods in human history which are marked by recolutionary changes in sll of mans ideas and values.It is a time when every one of us must look within himself to find what ideas,what beliefs,and what ideals each of us will live by.
And unless we fins these ideals,and unless we stand by them firmly,we have no power to overe the crisis in which we in our world fins ourselves.
I believe in perople,in sheer,unadulterated humanity,I believe inlistening to what people have to say,in helping them to achieve the things which they want and the things which they need.Naturally,there are peop;e who behave like beasts,who kill,who cheat,who lie and who destroy.But without a belief in man and a faith in his possibilities for the future,there can be no hope for the future,but only bitterness that the past has gone.I believe we must,each of us,make a philosophy a philosophy by which we can live.
There are people who make a philosophy out of believing in nothing.They say there is no truth,that goodness is simply cleverness in disguising your own selfishness.
They say that life is simply the short gap in between an unpleasant birth and an inevitable death.There are others who saythat man is born inti evil and sinfulness and that life is a process of purification through suffering and that death is the reward for having sufferes.
There are others who say that man is a kind of machine which operates according to certain laws,and that if you can learn the laws and seize the power to manipulate the machine,you can make man behave autmatically to serve whatever ends you have in mind.
I believe these philosophies are false.The most important thing in life is the way it it lived,and there is no such thing as an abstract happiness,an abstract goodness or morality,or an abstract anything,except in terms of the person who believes and who acts.
There is only the single human being who lives and who through every moment of his own personal living experience,is being happy or unhappy,noble or base,wise or unwise,or simply existing.
The question is: How can these individual moments of human experience be filled with the richness of a philosophy which can sustain the indicidual in his own life?Unless we give part of ourselves away,unless we can live with other people and understand them and help them,we are missing the most essential part of our own human lives.
The fact that the native endowment of the young mind is one of liberalism and confidence in the powers of man for goos is the basis of my philosophy.And if only man can be given a free chance to use his powers,this philosophy will result in a boundless flow of vital energy and a willingness to try new things,bined with a faith in the future.
There are as many roads to the sttainment of wisdom and goodness as there are people who undertake to waik them.There are as many solid truths on which we can stand as there are people who can search them out and who will stand on them.There are as many ideas and ideals as there are men of good will who will hold them in their minds and act them in their lives.
Whether sixty or sixteen, there is in every human beings heart the lure of wonders, the unfailing childlike appetite of whats next and the joy of the game of living. In the center of your heart and my heart there is a wireless station: so long as it receives messages of beauty, hope, cheer, courage and power from men and from the infinite, so long are you young.
When tomorrow turns in today, yesterday, and someday that no moreimportant in your memory, we suddenly realize that we r pushed forwardby time. This is not a train in still in which you may feel forwardwhen another train goes by. It is the truth that weve all grown up.And we bee different.

Today is an excellent day for small improvements. Whatever is working for you, find a way to improve it just a little. There’s no need to make a huge change, just a small one, something you can do right now.
If you called just one additional customer each day, over the course of the next month you would talk to about 20 new people. If you learned just one more new word each day, in the next year you would increase your vocabulary by more than 300 words.
Small improvements can add up over time into big acplishments. Look around you. Consider the work you do each day. Think about how you could do it just a little bit better.
In a marathon race, each step the winner takes is just a little bit longer and a little bit faster than each stride taken by the 100th place finisher. Yet over the course of the race, that small difference adds up in a big way.
Do just a little bit more today, and tomorrow too, and each day after that. Anyone can make just a small improvement, and that can make a big, big difference.
What is your direction indicator of ascended
One windy spring day, I observed young people having fun using the wind to fly their kites. Multicolored creations of varying shapes and sizes filled the skies like beautiful birds darting and dancing. As the strong winds gusted against the kites, a string kept them in check.
Instead of blowing away with the wind, they arose against it to achieve great heights. They shook and pulled, but the restraining string and the cumbersome tail kept them in tow, facing upward and against the wind. As the kites struggled and trembled against the string, they seemed to say, “Let me go! Let me go! I want to be free!” They soared beautifully even as they fought the restriction of the string. Finally, one of the kites succeeded in breaking loose. “Free at last,” it seemed to say. “Free to fly with the wind.”
Yet freedom from restraint simply put it at the mercy of an unsympathetic breeze. It fluttered ungracefully to the ground and landed in a tangled mass of weeds and string against a dead bush. “Free at last” free to lie powerless in the dirt, to be blown helplessly along the ground, and to lodge lifeless against the first obstruction.
How much like kites we sometimes are. The Heaven gives us adversity and restrictions, rules to follow from which we can grow and gain strength. Restraint is a necessary counterpart to the winds of opposition. Some of us tug at the rules so hard that we never soar to reach the heights we might have obtained. We keep part of the mandment and never rise high enough to get our tails off the ground.
Let us each rise to the great heights, recognizing that some of the restraints that we may chafe under are actually the steadying force that helps us ascend and achieve.
There was a farmer in Africa who was happy and content. He was happy because he was content. He was content because he was happy.
One day a wise man came to him and told him about the glory of diamonds and the power that goes along them.
The wise man says, “If you had a diamond the size of your thumb, you could have your own city. If you had a diamond the size of your fist you could probably own your own country.” And then he went away.
That night the farmer couldnt sleep. He was unhappy and he was discontent. He was unhappy because he was discontent, and he was discontent because he was unhappy.
The next morning he made arrangements to sell off his farm, took care of his family and went in search of diamonds. He looked all over Africa and couldnt find any. He looked all through Europe and couldn’t find any. When he got to Spain, he was emotionally, physically and financially broke. He got so disheartened that he threw himself into the Barcelona River and mitted suicide.
Back home, the person who had bought his farm was watering the camels at a stream that ran through the farm. Across the stream, the rays of the morning sun hit a stone and made it sparkle like a rainbow.
He thought it would look good on the mantelpiece. He picked up the stone and put it in the living room. That afternoon the wise man came and saw the stone sparkling. He asked, "Is Hafiz back?"
The new owner said, "No, why do you ask?" The wise man said, "Because that is a diamond. I recognize one when I see one." The man said, "No, thats just a stone I picked up from the stream. Come, Ill show you. There are many more. They went and picked some samples and sent them for analysis. Sure enough, the stones were diamonds. They found that the farm was indeed covered with acres and acres of diamonds.
Recently I turned to a friend who was riding in my car and asked her, “What do you like about yourself?” We rode in silence for several minutes. Finally, she turned to me and said, apologetically, “I can’t think of anything.”
I was stunned. My friend is intelligent, charming, and passionate – yet she couldn’t see any of that.
I know she’s not alone. Low self-esteem has bee the number-one issue plaguing women. Despite God’s assurance that he’s absolutely crazy about us, most of us can’t believe he means us. It’s like the cynical editor who tells the cub reporter, “If your mother says she loves you, check it out.”
I was a reporter for 12 years. One of the first things I learned in researching a story was “garbage in, garbage out.” If your raw date is flawed, you end up with a faulty conclusion. The same is true with how we see ourselves. If we lack self-confidence, maybe we’re working with flawed data.
The reality is, in hundreds of subtle ways, our culture, family, friends – even our thought life – conspire to undermine our confidence. We grow up in families void of affirmation, encouragement, and respect – the building blocks to self-confidence. Then we find ourselves smack dab in the middle of a world that lionizes Size Two Hollywood starlets and Barbie-doll figures. Our paycheck, our title, or some other artificial yardstick gives us temporary entrée into the world of The Accepted. But in our hearts, we know it isn’t real. How do we find our way to the truth?
On 6 November 31-year-old actress Winona Ryder was convicted of shoplifting ,500 worth of clothing and accessories from the posh Saks Fifth Avenue store in Beverly Hills. Her reasons for attempting to steal the goods, despite being one of the highest-paid stars in Hollywood, remain unclear; she may, like the troubled young people she often plays, merely have been doing it for kicks.
Today"s cartoon by Mike Peters makes fun of Ms Ryder"s recent escapade. He imagines Ryder in the witness box,swheresthe court clerk is administering the oath on the Bible that is customary before a person gives testimony. The words of the oath are: "Do you swear to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth, so help you God?" Before the clerk gets very far, he must ask Ms Ryder to return the Bible, which he notices she is slipping under her jacket.
In reality Ryder never testified at the trial. The prosecuting attorney cannot question the accused, as the US Constitution forbids self-incrimination. If, however, the defense attorney chooses to put the accused on the stand (i.e. to speak in her own defense), then the prosecutor gets a turn to ask questions. Thus the legal counsel for the accused often prefers to keep his client off the stand, so as to rule out any possibility of damaging cross-examination.
Fun seems to be the possession of the English race.Fun is JohnBullls idea of humour,and there is no intellectualjudgment in fun.Everybody understands it be-cause it is practical.More than that,it unites allclasses and sweetens even political life.To studythe elemental form of English humour,you must look to the school-boy.It begins with the practical joke,and unless there is something of his natureabout it,it is never humour to an Englishman.Inan English household,fun is going all the time.The entire house resounds witn it.The father es home and the whole family contribute to theamusement;puns,humorous uses of words,little things that are meaningless nonsense,if you like,fly round,and every one enjoys them thoroughly for just what they are.The Scotch are devoid ofthis trait,and the Americans seem to be,too.
If I had the power to give humour to the na-tions I would not give them drollery,for that isimpractical;I would not give them wit,for that isaristocratic,and many minds cannot grasp it;but Iwould be contented to deal out fun,which has nointellectual element,no subtlety,belongs to oldand young,educated and uneducated alike,and isthe natural form of the humour of the Englishman.
Let me tell you why the Englishman speaksonly one language.He believes with the strongest conviction that his own tongue is the one that allpeople ought to speak and will e in time tospeak,so what is the use of learning any other?Hebelieves,too,that he is appointed by Providenceto be a governor of all the rest of the human race.From our Scottish standpoint we can never see anEnglishman without thinking that there is oozing from every pore of his body the conviction that he belongs to a governing race.It has not been his de-sire that large portions of the world should be un-der his care,but as they have been thrust uponhim in the proceedings of a wise Providence,hemust discharge his duty.This theory hasnt en-deared him to others of his kind,but that isnt amatter that concerns him.He doesnt learn anyother language because he knows that he couldspeak it only so imperfectly that other people would laugh at him,and it would never do that aperson of his importance in the scheme of the uni-verse should be mad
e the object of ridicule.
At the start of your workday, before you even check your emails, make a plan. Jot down the three most important tasks you want to acplish that day. Put a big star next to the most important. Now, before you get into the busy work of emails and photocopying and tidying your desk, start on that important task and see it through to the end.
Surprisingly few people take the time to plan their workday, and end up spinning their wheels on a number of low-priority tasks without really acplishing anything big.
Of the tens of thousands of ships on the ocean bottom, only a handful, less than 1 percent, contain negotiable treasure, such as gold and jewels. Most give us a different priceless treasure -- history. A sunken ship lies in trust, preserved in the airless environment of the sea and those in deep water are especially well protected. No dry land sites anywhere -- except perhaps Egyptian tombs -- are in a better state of preservation than a vessel deep in the ocean. A sunken ship, therefore, can be a rare window through which a moment in time is glimpsed.
This is not to imply that sunken ships are always found intact. Most ships break up on the way down, hit the bottom at about 100 miles per hour, and bee a chaotic, confusing jumble. I recall the chagrin of a novice diver who, after surfacing from an underwater tour of a 400-foot ship, asked his diving buddy, "Where was the wreck?" It takes experience to actually know a sunken ship when one sees it. But no matter what its condition on the way down, a ship deteriorates much more slowly as it sinks deeper into protective layers of sand and mud. Ancient vessels have been found in remarkably good condition. In 1977 a group of marine archaeologists excavating a 900-year-old wreck recovered engraved glassware. Greek coins, bronze kettles, and amazingly, Greek jars containing seeds, almonds, and lentils -- even a plate with chicken bones.
The Nails and the Fence
There was a little boy with a bad temper. His father gave him a bag of nails and told him that every time he lost his temper, to hammer a nail in the back fence.
The first day the boy had driven 37 nails into the fence.
Then it gradually dwindled down. He discovered it was easier to hold his temper than to drive those nails into the fence.
Finally the day came when the boy didnt lose his temper at all. He told his father about it and the father suggested that the boy now pull out one nail for each day that he was able to hold his temper.
The days passed and the young boy was finally able to tell his father that all the nails were gone. The father took his son by the hand and led him to the fence. He said, "You have done well, my son, but look at the holes in the fence. The fence will never be the same. When you say things in anger, they leave a scar just like this one. You can put a knife in a man and draw it out. It wont matter how many times you say Im sorry, the wound is still there. A verbal wound is as bad as a physical one.
Friends are a very rare jewel, indeed. They make you smile and encourage you to succeed. They lend an ear, they share a word of praise, and they always want to open their hearts to us. Show your friends how much you care.
It says poison, passion and stop right there. It is the most powerful colour on the planet and it is rife with contradictions. Its universal meanings are heat, blood, danger and emotion.
A red light means that the doctor is in. Red cars are sexual status symbols. Red heads are supposed to be firebrands. The devil wears red and so do scarlet women. Those with heart problems are advised to avoid the colour because it is so stimulating. Red light has been known to accelerate plant growth.
In China, it is a wedding colour denoting luck and happiness. According to Hebrew tradition the name Adam, the first man means both red and alive. Advertisers love red because it’s a high energy, high impact color; those attracted to it demand to be noticed.
In the past, red dyes were expensive, so red walls and fabrics suggested either luxurious wealth, importance or ill repute. Today careful use can easily suggest an Asian influence. Red’s connection with heat is so strong that it can make you feel warmer even when the temperature hasn’t changed. Too much brings associations with violent emotions leading to impatience, confusion and irritability. Used with caution it can enrich although it does tend to make small rooms even smaller.

Jacky is not sure about the answer. So he decides to ask the rabbits themselves.
What long ears he has! They are even much longer than his face.
Why are his ears so long? The ears are very useful to the rabbit. Mr. Ears usually hears a threat before seeing it. Rabbits get hot easily in summer.The big ears can help them lower their body temperature. Rabbits have very short tails. How can they keep their balance? Ha ha, its not a problem for them. See, they have long ears. But not all rabbits have long ears. Arctic hares have shorter ears.
Now Easter is a favourite festival for kids. They get many coloured eggs on this day. (Easter eggs)。Kids also get some chocolate eggs. The bunny rabbit is amazing. It lays coloured eggs at Easter. Then it hides them in secret places.

The next day the paper boy came to the door to collect."I came by last night,"he told me,"but I left when your wife barked at me!"
Tucked away in our subconscious is an idyllic vision. We see ourselves on a long trip that spans the continent. We are traveling by train. Out the windows, we drink in the passing scene of cars on nearby highways, of children waving at a crossing, of cattle grazing on a distant hillside, of smoke pouring from a power plant, of row upon row of corn and wheat, of flatlands and valleys, of mountains and rolling hillsides, of city skylines and village halls.
But uppermost in our minds is the final destination. On a certain day at a certain hour, we will pull in the station. Bands will be playing and flags waving. Once we get there, so many wonderful dreams will e true and the pieces of our lives will fit together like a pleted jigsaw puzzle. How restlessly we pace the aisles, damning the minutes for loitering—waiting, waiting, waiting for the station.
“When we reach the station, that will be it!” We cry. “When Im 18.” “When I buy a new 450SL Mercedes Benz!” “When I put the last kid through college.” “When I have paid off the mortgage!” “When I get a promotion.” “When I reach the age of retirement, I shall live happily ever after!”
Sooner or later, we must realize there is no station, no one place to arrive at once and for all. The true joy of life is the trip. The station is only a dream. It constantly outdistances us.
“Relish the moment” is a good motto, especially when coupled with Psalm 118:24:“This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.” It isnt the burdens of today that drive men mad. It is the regrets over yesterday and the fear of tomorrow. Regret and fear are twin thieves who rob us of today.
So stop pacing the aisles and counting the miles. Instead, climb more mountains, eat more ice cream, go barefoot more often, swim more rivers, watch more sunsets, laugh more, cry less. Life must be lived as we go along. The station will e soon enough.
These days, people who do manual work often receive far more money than clerks who work in offices. People who work in offices are frequently referred to as white collar workers for the simple reason that they usually wear a collar and tie to go to work. Such is human nature, that a great many people are often willing to sacrifice higher pay for the privilege of being white collar workers. This can give rise to curious situations, as it did in the case of Alfred Bloggs who worked as a dustman for the Ellesmere Corporation.
When he got married, Alf was too embarrassed to say anything to his wife about his job. He simply told her that he worked for the Corporation. Every morning, he left home dressed in a smart black suit. He then changed into overalls (n.工作服) and spent the next eight hours as a dustman. Before returning home at night, he took a shower and changed back into his suit. Alf did this for over two years and his fellow dustmen kept his secret. Alfs wife has never discovered that she married a dustman and she never will, for Alf has just found another job. He will soon be working in an office as a junior clerk. He will be earning only half as much as he used to, but he feels that his rise in status is well worth the loss of money. From now on, he will wear a suit all day and others will call him Mr. Bloggs, not Alf.

To fear is natural; to go past them is heroic. Fear is a normal part of life, symbolizing that there are new, extraordinary things to e across and face. To be able to see these things before they happen is a sign of wisdom. Fear is nothing out of the ordinary. To admit that we are fearing is to prove that we value our life.
And men should pay attention to the call of fears. To truly be a leader or someone who is heroic and brave, we should focus on getting past these fears. And it is frightful for people to go through life ignoring fears, because they may often forget their heart and step into life without responsibility.
To be born is to live. To live is to fear. To fear is to be challenged. To accept our fears is to be mature. It needs bravery, maturity and vitality to face our fears, accept the challenges and hope for the best.

Were Just Beginning
"We are reading the first verse of the first chapter of a book whose pages are infinite…”
I do not know who wrote those words, but I have always liked them as a reminder that the future can be anything we want to make it. We can take the mysterious, hazy future and carve out of it anything that we can imagine, just as a sculptor carves a statue from a shapeless stone.
We are all in the position of the farmer. If we plant a good seed, we reap a good harvest. If our seed is poor and full of weeds, we reap a useless crop. If we plant nothing at all, we harvest nothing at all.
I want the future to be better than the past. I dont want it contaminated by the mistakes and errors with which history is filled. We should all be concerned about the future because that is where we will spend the remainder of our lives.
The past is gone and static. Nothing we can do will change it. The future is before us and dynamic. Everything we do will affect it. Each day brings with it new frontiers, in our homes and in our business, if we only recognize them. We are just at the beginning of the progress in every field of human endeavor.

Editors of newspapers and magazines often go to extremes to provide their readers with unimportant facts and statistics. Last year a journalist had been instructed by a well-known magazine to write an article on the presidents palace in a new African republic. When the article arrived, the editor read the first sentence and then refused to publish it. The article began: Hundreds of steps lead to the high wall which surrounds the presidents palace. The editor at once
sent the journalist a fax instructing him to find out the exact number of steps and the height of the wall.
The journalist immediately set out to obtain these important facts, but he took a long time to send them. Meanwhile, the editor was getting impatient, for the magazine would soon go to press. He sent the journalist two urgent telegrams, but received no reply. He sent yet another telegram informing the journalist that if he did not reply soon he would be fired. When the journalist again failed to reply, the editor reluctantly published the article as it had originally been written. A week later, the editor at last received a telegram from the journalist. Not only had the poor man been arrested, but he had been sent to prison as well. However, he had at last been allowed to send a cable in which he informed the editor that he had been arrested while counting the 1084 steps leading to the 15-foot wall which surrounded the presidents palace.

The campus,which is believed to be a place for students to gain knowledge,but as the world gets globalized,many business centers have moved into the campus.Students enjoy the mercial environment,but some people think that the mercial environment will have negative effect to the students.I think the campus should be pure.
On the one hand,campus is the place for students to learn the knowledge.The school should create the environment which is suitable for the students to study.Such as the school can open the shops to sell the books,or the things which are related to the study.
On the other hand,the mercial centers will distract students’ attention from their study.The shop,the theater and other shops have built in some campus,it makes the students can’t focus their minds,they just want to finish their class and then go shopping.The original purpose has been forgotten by the students.
Though the mercialize of campus brings students convenience,it is not suitable to let those shops open,students’ main duty is to study and the mercialize will interfere them.

Worlds Largest Cupcake
A 4 feet cupcake weighing a hefty 1,224 pounds has been officially recognized as the worlds largest by the Guinness Book of Records.

The lives of most men are determined by their environment. They accept the circumstances amid which fate has thrown them not only resignation but even with good will. They are like streetcars running contentedly on their rails and they despise the sprightly flitter that dashes in and out of the traffic and speeds so jauntily across the open country. I respect them; they are good citizens, good husbands, and good fathers, and of course somebody has to pay the taxes; but I do not find them exciting.
I am fascinated by the men, few enough in all conscience, who take life in their own hands and seem to mould it in to their own liking. It may be that we have no such thing as free will, but at all events, we have the illusion of it. At a cross-road it does seem to us that we might go either to the right or to the left and, the choice once made, it is difficult to see that the whole course of the worlds history obliged us to take the turning we did.
The first day of school our professor introduced a little old lady to us.
"Why are you in college at such a young age?" I asked later. She jokingly replied, " Im here to meet a rich husband, get married, have a couple of children, and then retire and travel."
"No seriously," I asked. I was curious what may have motivatedher to be taking on this challenge at her age. "I always dreamed of having a college education and now Im getting one!" she told me.
We became instant friends. Every day for the next three months we would leave class together and tolk nonstop. I was always listening to this "time machine" as she shared her wisdom and experience with me.
At the end of the semester we invited Rose to make a speech to our football team. Ill never forget what she taught us. As she began to deliverher prepared speech, she dropped her note card on the floor. A little embarrassed she simply said, "Im sorry. This whiskey is killing me! Ill never get my speech back in order so let me just tell you what I know." As we laughed she cleared her throat and began:" We do not stop playing because we are old; we grow old because we stop playing. There are only four secrets to staying young, being happy, and achieving success. You have to laugh and find humor every day. Youve got to have a dream. When you lose your dreams, you die. We have so many people walking around who are dead and dont even know it! There is a huge difference between growing older and growing up. If you are nineteen years old and lie in bed for one full year and dont do one productive thing, you will turn twenty years old. Anybody can grow older. That doesnt take any talentor ability. The idea is t
o grow up by always finding the opportunity in change. Have no regrets. The elderly usually dont have regrets for what we did, but rather for things we did not do. The only people who fear death are those with regrets."
At the years end Rose finished the college degree. One week after graduation Rose died peacefully in her sleep. Over two thousand college students attended her funeral to honorthe wonderful woman who taught by example that its never too late to be all you can possibly be.
There once were two poor woodsmen who made a living by collecting woods in the mountain. One day, they happened to discover two large bag of cotton in the mountain and felt surprisingly happy. The cotton was light but valuable, so they carried it on their back and went back home.
When they were walking home, one of the woodsmen spotted a large bundle of cloth beside the road. So he discussed with his partner whether to discard the cotton and take the cloth instead. But his partner held a different view that since he had carried the cotton for such a long way, he would not change it with cloth because all his previous effort would turn out to be in vain. Therefore, the other woodsman abandoned the cotton and carried the cloth on his back. After walking for a while, the woodsman who carried the cloth spotted several jars of gold disseminated on the ground not far away. He felt so thrilled that he was going to be a wealthy man. So he gave up the cloth and used his carrying pole to carry two jars of gold, while his partner was still reluctant to abandon the cotton and wondering whether the gold was real or not.
However, when they just went down to the foot of the mountain, it began to rain all of a sudden. Both of them were wet from head to toes. More unfortunately, the woodsman who carried the cotton found that his cotton had absorbed tons of water and became so heavy that he could no longer go on carrying it. Desperately, he had to abandon the cotton and went back home empty-handed with his partner carrying gold.

# Among three of them one master was a thief.
Once while wandering around in a desert I got lost and till I found a way and reached the village it was too late. Everything was closed and there was no one outside. At last I found a man who was trying to make hole in a wall. I asked him if I could find a place to stay. He replied that it will be difficult to find a place to stay at this time of night but you can stay with me, if it’s ok with you to stay with a thief. I stayed with him for a month.
Each night he would say to me that, “I am going to work. You can rest and pray.” When he came back I would ask him, “Did you get anything today?” He would reply, “No not tonight but tomorrow I will try again. God Willing.” Even after daily disappointment he never lost hope and he was always happy.
When I was meditating for years and still nothing changed, many moments came when I would get so desperate and hopeless that I thought of leaving all this and then suddenly I would remember words of that thief that, “God willing, Tomorrow it is going to happen. ”
# Second master was a dog
Once I was going along side of a river, there I saw a dog who was very thirsty. I saw that as dog looked into river to drink water, it saw his own image and got afraid. Seeing his own reflection dog barked and ran away. But because dog was too thirsty he would e back. This happened many time but finally despite his fear, dog jumped into water.
Seeing this I knew that it was a message from God. It means that one has to go forward despite all of his fears.
# Third master was a little boy
As I entered a town I saw a little kid carrying a lit candle in his hands. I asked him, “Have you lit this candle yourself? ” He replied, “Yes sir.” I said, “There was time when candle was not lit and when it was lit but can you show me the source from which light came?” Boy laughed and blew out the candle and said ,”You have seen light go? Can you tell me where it had gone?? ”
Boy continued, “Ok, I will tell you it had returned to the source.” This shattered my ego and at that moment I felt how stupid I was. And since then I just dropped all my Knowledge-ability.
I had no master but this doesn’t means that I was not a disciple. I accepted this whole universe, whole existence as my master.
Moral: In this world there are millions of source and you can Learn from Every Possible Source. With a Master you start Learning to learn.

So he thought for a while, and then he said," If it were me," I would have taken the smaller onefirst." So the other guy said," See! I knew that! That's why I took the big one."
